General contractingand project management.
Endurance does more than roofs. As your general contractor, we manage the whole project, from budget and permits to subcontractors, scheduling and quality control, and we handle the roofing ourselves.
More thana roofing contractor.
Along with roofing, siding and gutters, Endurance offers full-service general contracting for home and commercial properties, plus professional basement finishing.
A roofing contractor who also serves as your general contractor (GC) takes responsibility for the whole project: coordinating subcontractors, scheduling, quality control, and finishing on time and within budget.
Not every residential or commercial roofing contractor is qualified or experienced to act as a GC. That is what sets Endurance apart.

How we workas your GC.
A specialist contractor, such as a plumber or electrician, focuses on one trade. As general contractor, Endurance oversees the overall project and manages those subcontractors.
We also fill the specialist role for your roof. Endurance acts as the roofing subcontractor on the project while coordinating everyone else's work and keeping the job on time and within budget.
How Colorado licensesgeneral contractors.
Unlike most states, Colorado does not require a general contractor license at the state level. Licensing happens locally, through cities such as Denver and Boulder. Electricians and plumbers, by contrast, need a state license from the Department of Regulatory Agencies.
Many municipalities, including Longmont and Boulder, sort general contractor licenses into three classes. Denver is the largest market for general contractors in Colorado, and it also has the most restrictive licensing process.
Endurance maintains the credentials needed to work in your area. Where your county or city requires a license or permit, Endurance meets the requirement. To check the rules for your property, start with your county's rules for building contractors.
- Class A: the broadest license. It covers any building project, regardless of size. Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire extinguishing and elevator work still require trade-specific licenses.
- Class B: covers most residential and commercial building projects, except those designated IA or IIA by the International Building Code. Specific trades require additional licenses.
- Class C: limited to residential buildings, single-family or multi-family, with no more than three stories or four living units. Specific trades require additional licenses.
Check experienceand references first.
Because local governments regulate general contractor licensing in Colorado, the process varies by location. Most areas only require a license for work that needs a building permit, which makes it harder to tell whether a contractor is reliable and legitimate.
In areas hit by tornadoes, hurricanes and brush fires, a few unscrupulous contractors always sweep in after a severe event to take advantage of property owners who need help. You don't have that worry with Endurance. We're locally owned and operated, highly trained and experienced, and endorsed by hundreds of past customers.
A reputable general contractor like Endurance typically carries these credentials, with licenses where a Colorado municipality requires them:
- License: a valid contractor's license in the Colorado county, city or town where the work will be done.
- Bonding: a surety bond that protects you financially if the contractor fails to complete the work or fulfill the contract.
- Liability insurance: covers damage to property or injury to third parties during construction.
- Workers' compensation insurance: covers medical expenses and lost wages for workers injured on the job.
- Builder's risk insurance: covers damage to the building during construction.
- Certifications: Endurance is certified with multiple manufacturers, and our online reviews show how we work to satisfy every property owner we serve.
