Local recordings of the round (OBS, per mat) into the dual clipper: per-match clips. Post the two or three best as Reels/TikTok before the next round ends.

Rolling, one round behind

Caption rule (every post)

  • One plain line that says what it is and names the venue: "Round 3 results from Elite 8 Duals at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta."
  • Two fixed lines: 📸 @adam_maxwell_photography · Presenting Sponsor @compoundsportswear
  • The 12-tag hashtag block goes in the first comment on IG and YouTube. On TikTok it goes in the caption (first comment caps at 150 characters).
  • Tag the two teams and any athlete with a verified handle. Unverified "?" handles in the socials DB stay untagged.

Why record locally

  • Waiting for the YouTube VOD means the clips land hours late. An OBS recorder per mat feed, one file per round, means the clipper can start the minute the round ends.
  • Name files by round and mat (R3_MAT2.mp4). The clipper's output goes straight into the post queue.
  • Keep a rolling external drive. Two hours of 1080p per mat per round is roughly 8 GB across four mats.

Partnership obligations

IMG Academy

Source: "Elite 8's Internal Announcement & Social Posts"
They shoot, we announce and make room

What IMG is shooting (their list)

  • Gearing up. Pre-tournament: Enock prepping the booth, Jarion lacing shoes or reviewing notes. No match action needed. Friday.
  • Presence carousel. Stills of Enock and Jarion at the booth and at the mats. Copy points to the booth and the wrestling-camp page.
  • Coaching feature. Follow Coach Jarion and the Black Mambas; a highlight reel of him coaching, tied to "learn this at IMG Academy Wrestling Camp".
  • Booth sizzle. Short piece on Dr. Francois working the table with families and athletes.

What we owe them

  • PA read as written, once per round: five Saturday, three Sunday, one at awards. Nine total. Log each one.
  • Access. Mat-side credential for their shooter, the Black Mambas' mat and round schedule delivered at each whistle, booth placement on the walking path between mats and concessions.
  • Jarion's time. Protect a Friday 15-minute window for our partnership clip and keep Saturday coaching uninterrupted for their feature.

What we make

  • Partnership clip (60–90s). Jarion Beets on his Elite 8 history as one of the originals, the Black Mambas, and IMG Academy Wrestling. Shot Friday at weigh-ins, posted Saturday 9 AM on E8 and Compound, IMG tagged. Confirm how many Elite 8s he has coached before "OG" goes in a caption.
  • Announcement post. Static: E8 mark, IMG spike mark, "Official partner", booth location, camp link. Posts Friday midday.
  • Awards photo. Beets and Francois with the Mambas after the final, handed to IMG the same night.

Brand rules on E8 assets

  • IMG logo is the spike mark plus "IMG". Never the word "ACADEMY" on any Elite 8 graphic. Spoken reads say "IMG Academy" in full.
  • Sponsor rail order everywhere: Compound, Wrestling Department, IMG, HCB, iKon. Wrestling Department runs large.
  • Camp link for captions: imgacademy.com/sport-camps/wrestling-camp

Brainstorm

Capitalize on the Building

Two buyers in the seats: parents (retail) and coaches (teamwear)
Plus college coaches, who are both
Parents · retailBooth as a 72-hour drop

One event tee, dated, sold at the booth and online only through Sunday night. Scarcity gives the PA reads a reason to exist.

Do: print counts small, put the QR on the booth backdrop and the tee tag.
Parents · retailProShield try-on station

Headgear is a parent purchase made in a hurry. A mirror, both colorways, chin cups, a kid-height table. Film the try-ons for the coach email.

Do: weekend code E8ATL on the booth and in every results caption's first comment.
Parents · retailPhoto wall at the entrance

Step-and-repeat with the E8 mark and "Presented by Compound". Every family photo of the weekend carries the brand, for free, forever.

Do: place it where the walk-in passes Saturday 8 AM.
Coaches · teamwearEvery coach here is a customer

Twelve programs in Compound kit is the pitch. Product Talk testimonials on camera double as the reference list for the next twelve.

Do: coach packet insert plus the PA coaches read. Book the follow-up call before they leave.
Coaches · teamwearTeam store in two weeks

The Mile High launch plan is a 14-day store. Offer it on the spot: club and high school coaches in the stands, not just the twelve on the floor.

Do: a one-page card with three real store screenshots and a QR to a 60-second intake form.
College coachesCoaches lounge with the catalog

They RSVP'd. Give them coffee, a printed sublimated catalog, and a sample kit on a rack. College programs buy teamwear too.

Do: one Compound person stationed there Saturday 12–2 and Sunday 9–1.
EveryoneThe robe is the brand

The champions' robes are the most photographed object of the weekend. Make sure the presenting backdrop is behind them and the Compound mark is on the robe or the stage.

Do: confirm who makes the robes and whether the mark is on them.
EveryoneUGC repost engine

"Tag @compoundsportswear in your Elite 8 photos, we repost." Runs on the PA, the photo wall, and every scorecard first comment.

Do: one person reposting to Compound stories all weekend, not the results desk.
AfterYou-were-there email

Ticket buyers, coaches, media, RSVP list. Adam Maxwell's photos, the champion, and one shop link per audience. Sent Tuesday while the weekend is still warm.

Do: build the template this week so Monday is a fill-in, not a build.
EveryoneCount the booth by the hour

Tally conversations, try-ons and sales per hour on a clipboard. By Saturday night you know which PA read moved people and which lull is dead.

Do: results desk logs each PA read with a timestamp so the two sheets line up Sunday night.

This week

Before Friday

Nine days out
Ordered by what breaks the weekend if it's missing

Build

  • Results scorecard generator and bracket generator, data-driven, same pattern as the roster build. Test on the 2025 box scores.
  • Matchup and standings card variants off the same template.
  • All Mats Live MP4s, Day 1 and Day 2.
  • IMG announcement static and the caption set for the weekend, pre-written with blanks for scores.
  • OBS recording profile per mat, filenames by round and mat. Dry run on a CMPTV stream.

Confirm

  • Pool assignments, mat assignments, and the exact advancement rule (top four per pool to the Elite 8, four to consolation).
  • FloRestling 2026 event coreId once brackets are published.
  • PA operator and who hands them scores. Results desk owner for both days.
  • IMG's social handles for tagging, and their shooter's name for the credential list.
  • Coach RSVP sheet webhook deployed and the media approval emails flowing, so Friday's front table is real.

Decisions I need from Cliff

  1. Booth location and hours for the Compound and IMG tables. Every PA read points to them.
  2. Is there an event tee drop, and is E8ATL the weekend code? The retail ideas above assume yes.
  3. Who makes the robes, and is the Compound mark on them or only on the stage?
  4. Jarion Beets: how many Elite 8s has he coached? "OG" needs the number behind it.
  5. Ryan Porter or Josh Porter, before his name goes on a card.
  6. Is the May freestyle Elite 8 real enough to ask about from the PA on Sunday?
  7. Who is on the results desk Saturday, and does the same person run the PA card, or are those two people?
